Out of Work Position (OOP)
Needles that are in "A" position and will not knit no matter what the carriage setting.
Out of work position refers to needles placed in the A position, where they will not knit - regardless of the carriage settings. Yarn is not laid into these needles, and no stitches are formed.
Working position Example
<p>Create an eyelet by transferring a stitch to it's neighbor and putting the emptied needle into<strong> out of work position</strong>.</p>
